FUT 22: Headliners Team 1 around Mbappé, van Dijk & Co.

Just before the turn of the year, EA SPORTS opened the Headliners Promo with Team 1 in FOOTBALL 22 Ultimate Team (FUT), with Kylian Mbappé standing out.

The headliners are back: On December 31st, the first team of the dynamic promo appeared in the FUT 22 packs - although some errors occurred. The Headliners are initially characterized by improved overall ratings, which always receive an Inform upgrade to the currently strongest performance-based card or the basic object. The headliners can earn further boosts through individual or team top performances: If a special card for the first FUT 22 event in the new year receives a new Inform card, the headliners object also rises. In addition, a one-time upgrade can be obtained through four league wins in a row for the respective club. This hurdle in the second half of the season should be quite feasible, especially for the players from the absolute top clubs.

The first headlining team is led by Kylian Mbappé (93) from Paris Saint-Germain, followed by Virgil van Dijk (91) from Liverpool FC, Christopher Nkunku (89) from RB Leipzig and Kalidou Koulibaly (89) from SSC Napoli. In addition to Nkunku, Patrik Schick (85) from Bayer 04 Leverkusen was released from the Bundesliga last Friday into the FUT 22 packs. EA SPORTS states that Headliners players excelled through outstanding performances in the first half of the season, but the two top items by Mbappé and van Dijk seem to be more likely to boost sales of packs.

On the weekend after the promo kick-off, Julian Brandt (86) from Borussia Dortmund were released via SBC and Felipe Anderson (87) from Lazio Rome via Objectives, on Sunday (January 2nd) the first mini release followed, with another headlining quartet in flushed the FUT 22 packs: Serge Gnabry (88) from FC Bayern Munich, Téji Savanier (87) from HSC Montpellier, Ibrahim Sangaré (86) from PSV Eindhoven and Aaron Ramsdale (85) from Arsenal FC are to be drawn.
