FC 25: All EA FC 25 Team Licenses Changes

With EA Sports FC 24 marking a departure from the FUT franchise, a fresh chapter unfolds in football video games. While maintaining the core gameplay and beloved modes from its predecessor, EA Sports FC 24 introduced exciting innovations like introducing female players to Ultimate Team.

While an official release date remains under wraps, players can draw clues from past trends. Historically, launches have occurred on Fridays in late September, coinciding with the start of the league season and rising European football fervor. Based on this pattern, fans can tentatively expect EA Sports FC 25 to drop on Friday, September 27, 2024.

EA Sports FC players are no stranger to changes with team and stadium license changes. Serie A giants Juventus have not had their iconic name or logo in FUT for years due to an exclusive deal with Konami's PES franchise. And for EA FC 25, which is due to be updated in the second half of the year, the team names and logos available in Football Ultimate Team and other game modes will change.

EA FC 24, according to the agreement, may be the last game Inter Milan plays. A deal was struck in 2022 between Konami and Inter Milan, giving eFootball the only right to use the team's name and logo. The deal will go into effect in July 2024. The move confirms Inter Milan will join Lazio, Atalanta, Napoli and Roma as non-existent Serie A team names and logos in EA FC. The teams are currently known as Latium, Bergamo Calcio, Napoli FC and Roma FC. There is precedent for EA Sports regaining the rights. Juventus has been in the FUT/EA FC franchise for several years, but now that has changed. EA Sports has become Juventus' official gaming partner in 2022. , three years after Konami arranged it.

Power leagues will also remain in EA FC 25, with the Premier League announcing a multi-year contract extension with EA Sports ahead of the launch of FC 24, while the EFL confirmed a five-year extension in April 2024. Without exception, La Liga signed a 10-year deal in 2020 and the Bundesliga club will also remain under EA FC until at least 2027, following an agreement reached in January 2024.
